Military embedded and industrial applications are at a high risk of compromise when exposed in the field or sold internationally.  Adversaries skilled in reverse-engineering, intellectual property (IP) theft and application tampering pose a serious and growing threat to U.S technology.  The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has taken action by implementing policy that requires the use of Anti-Tamper (AT) technology in new programs.

This presentation will provide attendees with knowledge on how to incorporate AT technology into their systems.  Emphasis will be placed on understanding the threats faced by embedded systems and how to defend against them using the latest AT technology.  Additionally, practical ways to overcome common implementation challenges of an effective protection scheme, such as dealing with limited performance margins and binary size restrictions, will be discussed.  Lastly, expertise on how to successfully navigate through the DoD AT process will be shared.  Attendees will walk away with a real-life perspective on how they can leverage various types of AT technologies and services to secure their critical program assets.
