Enabling a Variety of Hardware and Software Protection Options

Arxan’s experts help select the best of breed solution to optimally meet your mission needs. AT protection can be in one of four form factors:

Hardware only protection. While strong, this is often prohibitively expensive to initially create and maintain on an ongoing basis.

Software only protection. While extremely flexible, adaptive and customizable, this is inadequately robust when used in isolation.

Hybrid protection. This is generally the preferred solution, providing a layered “defense in depth” solution that optimally combines hardware strength with software adaptability to evolve with technology.

Composite protection. This combines electronic protection measures discussed above with physical anti-tamper measures such as tamper-evident shields or sensors.

Arxan’s software protection arsenal includes Guards, which actively detect, and react to tampering attacks. EnforcIT automatically inserts these small protection units into a compiled binary according to security engineer specifications. Guards defend the application and each other, forming complex networks that are difficult to defeat by even the most advanced hackers. EnforcIT also enables the secure binding of Guards with external anti-tamper measures. The Guard SDK enables customers to incorporate proprietary protection IP into custom Guards, and efficiently leverage them in the overall AT protection scheme.
